The story behind Pavana — and why I believe creativity begins the moment you decide to try.
I used to believe I wasn't creative.
For years, my life revolved around work and thinking about what came next. I never really had a hobby, and honestly, I didn't think of myself as someone who could make beautiful things with her hands.
Then one day I realized: I wanted something I could create.
There was just one problem. I was afraid I wouldn't be good at it.
I could already hear all those little doubts: What if it comes out wrong? What if I'm not artistic? What if I waste my money?
My husband saw something different. He encouraged me to try and, in many ways, he believed in me more than I believed in myself.
That little bit of borrowed confidence was enough to begin.
I started making candles.
At first, I was simply learning and enjoying the process. Then something unexpected happened. People started noticing.
“That's beautiful.” “It smells amazing.” “Did you make this?”
And then came the question I definitely wasn't expecting: “Can I buy one?”
Really? Someone wanted to buy something I had created?
Eventually, I decided to attend an artisan market. There were other candle makers there, and I had no idea how my work would compare.
Then people began coming to my table. They smelled the candles. They looked closely at the details. They asked questions. They complimented my work.
Some purchased. Some didn't. But even the people who didn't buy often stopped just to tell me how much they liked what I had made.
And that day, I became one of the top candle sellers at the event.
Something changed inside me.
I realized that perhaps the biggest thing standing between me and creativity had never been a lack of talent. It had been the fear of trying.
That journey eventually became part of the reason Pavana exists today.
So when you see a Pavana mold, I don't want you to see only silicone and a shape. I want you to imagine what you could make with it.

Crea Sin Miedo
La historia detrás de Pavana y por qué creo que la creatividad comienza en el momento en que decides intentarlo.
Antes pensaba que yo no era creativa.
Durante años mi vida giró alrededor del trabajo y de preocuparme por lo que vendría después. Nunca tuve realmente un hobby y, sinceramente, tampoco me veía como una persona capaz de crear cosas bonitas con sus propias manos.
Hasta que un día me di cuenta: Quería tener algo que pudiera crear.
Había solamente un problema. Tenía miedo de no ser buena.
Ya podía escuchar todas esas pequeñas dudas: ¿Y si me sale mal? ¿Y si no soy artística? ¿Y si gasto dinero por gusto?
Mi esposo veía algo diferente. Él me animó a intentarlo y, de muchas maneras, creyó en mí más de lo que yo creía en mí misma.
Ese poquito de confianza prestada fue suficiente para comenzar.
Empecé haciendo velas.
Al principio simplemente estaba aprendiendo y disfrutando del proceso. Pero entonces ocurrió algo que no esperaba. La gente empezó a fijarse en ellas.
“Qué bonita.” “Huele increíble.” “¿Tú hiciste esto?”
Y después llegó la pregunta que definitivamente no esperaba: “¿Puedo comprarte una?”
¿En serio? ¿Alguien quería comprar algo que yo había creado?
Con el tiempo decidí participar en una feria de artesanos. Había otros vendedores de velas y yo no tenía idea de cómo se compararía mi trabajo.
Entonces la gente comenzó a acercarse a mi mesa. Olfateaban las velas. Miraban los detalles. Hacían preguntas. Me felicitaban por mi trabajo.
Algunos compraban. Otros no. Pero incluso muchas de las personas que no compraban se detenían simplemente para decirme cuánto les gustaba lo que había creado.
Ese día terminé siendo una de las personas que más velas vendió en el evento.
Y algo cambió dentro de mí.
Entendí que quizás lo que siempre se había interpuesto entre la creatividad y yo nunca había sido la falta de talento. Había sido el miedo a intentarlo.
Ese camino terminó convirtiéndose en parte de la razón por la que hoy existe Pavana.
Por eso, cuando veas un molde Pavana, no quiero que veas solamente silicona y una forma. Quiero que imagines lo que tú puedes crear con él.
Quizás ya tienes mucha experiencia creando. O quizás estás exactamente donde alguna vez estuve yo, preguntándote: ¿De verdad podré hacerlo?
Solo existe una manera de descubrirlo.
