It Started With One Simple Question: “Why Not Try?”
For most of my life, I never really had a hobby.
I worked. I worried about the future. And when I had free time, I watched television or went out with friends. That was simply life.
Until one day, I stopped and realized something: I had never found something I truly loved creating. Something that was mine.
The idea of trying something creative was intimidating. I had spent years telling myself that I wasn't artistic or creative enough.
What if I'm not good at it? What if it doesn't turn out right? What if I spend money on something I can't do?
Then my husband said something very simple:
“Why don't you try?”
He believed in me before I knew how to believe in myself.
So I tried.
I started making candles.
Little by little, people began noticing them. They would tell me how beautiful they were, ask about the scents, admire the details and, unexpectedly, ask: “Where can I buy one?”
Wait… people would actually buy something I made?
So I began selling my candles.
Then came a moment I will never forget.
I participated in an artisan market where several other vendors were also selling candles. I didn't know what to expect.
But throughout the event, people kept coming to my table. Some bought candles. Others simply stopped to look, smell them and tell me how much they loved the details and the work behind them.
By the end of that day, I had become one of the top candle sellers at the event.
I remember looking at everything and thinking: Okay… maybe this is real.
What began as an attempt to discover a hobby became something much bigger.
Eventually, my love for creating led us to Pavana.
Today, Pavana is about more than molds. It's about the person opening a box of supplies for the first time. The person wondering whether they're creative enough. The person with an idea who is still a little afraid to try.
Because I know exactly what that feels like.
